Triangle-area volleyball tryouts: 2026–27 dates and times

Start here: the September and October tryout window

This guide brings the published 2026–27 youth club tryouts around Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Morrisville, and nearby communities into one place. The sessions below were still in the future when we checked on September 9, 2026. All dates are in 2026 and all times are Eastern.

Most upcoming sessions are for younger girls’ teams. Many older girls’ and boys’ tryouts have already happened, but Jammers has published boys’ sessions and several clubs offer supplemental evaluations. Use the group-specific details below; a club having tryouts does not mean every age group has openings.

Choose the age group using the club’s current age-definition instructions, rather than school grade alone. Check whether both sessions are required and which gym to use. This is a broad local roundup, not a guarantee that every small club or last-minute announcement is included.

Triangle Volleyball — Morrisville

Tryouts are at 121 Competition Center Drive. Girls 15–18U and boys’ tryouts are complete. The club also lists September open gyms separately from tryouts; use its official page for those details.

NC Volleyball Academy — Durham

Online registration is required. The club recommends both sessions and opens check-in 30 minutes early. Confirm the facility in your registration receipt; older-age July and August sessions have passed.

Chapel Hill Area Volleyball Club — Carrboro

Sessions are at Carrboro High School, 201 Rock Haven Road. The club asks players to attend both sessions; contact it about conflicts. September open gyms are separate events.

NC Elite — Raleigh

Ravenscroft School. The specific tryout page lists 12–14U; 11U families should confirm eligibility because the homepage uses a broader age description. One registration covers the tryout process; all primary sessions are encouraged.

Raleigh Volleyball Club — Raleigh

North Raleigh Christian Academy, 7300 Perry Creek Road. Use the middle-school gym September 23 and the high-school gym September 30. Younger players must attend at least one session; both are encouraged.

Cap City — Raleigh

Neuse Middle School, 2700 Old Milburnie Road. The registration title mentions supplemental tryouts, but the schedule does not specify a separate older-age session. Ask the club before registering outside these groups.

Carolina Advantage — Morrisville

Sessions are listed at NETSPORTS. The older-age first wave is marked complete. The club also publishes September open gyms; those are separate from the tryouts below.

Jammers — Durham: girls and boys

Registration pages list Lucas Middle School, 923 Snow Hill Road. Both girls’ and boys’ programs list September 27 supplemental tryouts; confirm that day’s assigned time with the club.

Carolina Explosion — Raleigh

A girls’ 14U make-up session is posted for September 13. The event page does not identify the street venue, so confirm the location during registration.

Carolina Legacy — Rolesville

One age-group registration covers both sessions. Confirm the gym in your registration receipt; the club’s mailing address should not be assumed to be the tryout venue.

Panther Volleyball Academy — Holly Springs

Southern Wake Academy, 5108 Old Powell Road. The current registration page gives these dates and asks athletes to attend at least two sessions; all three are encouraged.

White Cross Elite — Chapel Hill area

Online registration is required. The posted flyer does not identify the gym, so confirm the venue with the club. The September 20 open gym is separate from tryouts.

Fuquay Revolution — Fuquay-Varina

The homepage lists these October 2026 dates. Confirm the tryout venue when registering; it is not identified in the schedule table.

FC Firecrackers — Franklin County

The club’s current 13U page adds younger-age September dates after the older-age summer tryouts. Confirm the gym and fee through its registration link. This is a farther-drive option around Louisburg.

Other clubs: ask about openings or the next evaluation

An earlier tryout date does not necessarily mean every team is full. These clubs need a direct inquiry instead of a calendar assumption. We did not verify a future scheduled tryout for them as of September 9.
