A few good questions.
Can parents start before finding a coach?+
Yes. Start a group plan with the players’ ages, skill level, and any preferred times. A coach, court, and final time can come later. Families express interest without booking or paying. Once the details are agreed, publish a confirmed lesson and invite each family to sign up.
How do we arrange the coach and court?+
Invite your coach to a free private conversation. They create an account with a magic link; no paid plan or club membership is needed. For clubs outside BumpSetBook, arrange court time and payment directly. At connected clubs with scheduling enabled, check the club calendar and message an approved coach. A conversation does not reserve a court; finish the club’s confirmation process before publishing.
Is this actually free?+
Yes. Creating signup links, managing your rosters, tracking direct payments, and reusing lessons are free. No credit card or club subscription is required. Set the agreed lesson price and name who families should pay.
Do I need to belong to a club?+
No. Coaches and parent organizers can use it. Parent group plans can start without a coach. Confirm the coach and court before publishing the final lesson. You do need to arrange court time with the gym or club before publishing. A signup link does not reserve a court.
How do families sign up?+
They open your link, verify their email, and add their player and contact details. No app download, club membership, or separate athlete profile. Only the organizer and that family can see their registration details. A named coach does not automatically get roster access.
How do payments work?+
Add your Venmo, cash, or other payment instructions. Name the agreed payment recipient. Families pay that person directly; the organizer records payments once the recipient confirms them. BumpSetBook does not process these payments or take a cut. Your payment provider’s own fees may still apply.
What happens if someone cancels?+
Families can cancel before the lesson starts; their spot opens again if signups are open. You can pause signups or cancel a lesson, with email updates for registered families. You handle refunds according to the cancellation policy you set.
Can I run the same lesson again?+
Yes. Choose “Use again” from a lesson to copy its details. Pick a new date and confirm your court time to publish a new signup. Each lesson has its own roster; families are never enrolled automatically.
What’s the difference between this and BumpSetBook for clubs?+
BumpSetBook Groups organizes your own small-group lessons, up to 12 players. The club product brings courts, coach availability, and lesson requests into a shared calendar for $49/month per club. Your group tools remain free whether or not your club uses it.
